Phoenix Suns fans might appreciate this brand new Air Max 98 that comes dressed in a Sail, Court Purple, Light Cream, and Desert Ochre color scheme.The shoe features a mix of Cream and Tan tones throughout its upper highlighted with Orange and Purple accents to give off that Suns’ vibe. Other details includes reflective trimming on the stripe atop a White midsole, Orange Max Air unit and Black rubber outsole with Purple and Orange contrasting.
Although the Air Max 98‘s 20th anniversary has come and gone, the popular silhouette is still very much a part of Nike’s lifestyle plans in 2019 and beyond. One of the first new colorways to surface this year is a retro combo of sail and court purple — not terribly dissimilar to the retro Toronto Raptors-esque color schemes used on some of last year’s Air Max releases. Soft sail leather covers a majority of the upper’s real estate, while a tan suede mudguard provides a luxurious contrast. Rich purple and hot red accents then appear for bold pops of color, a look that’s continued on the midsole/outsole via a red Air Max cushioning unit and purple/red detailing on the black outsole.
